A clause is a group of words that contains a subject and a verb. Some clauses are independent, others are dependent.
Dependent clauses act as adjectives, adverbs or nouns. A dependent clause that acts as a noun is called a noun clause.
In the following noun clause, Paul Newman, who was a very famous movie actor, died many years ago, why is it necessary
the use of commas?
The main clauses in the following sentences are  underlined. Choose the one which was corectly underlined.
