Examples:
Ten times ten makes one hundred;
I really love my job;
I read every night before I go to sleep;
You take the train into the city centre and then you take a
number five bus;
So what you do is... You read the questions first and then you
write down your answer in the box.
UNIT 1
We use the Present Simple for:

Spelling the present form
For most verbs we add -s to the base form to make the She, He
and It (the person singular) form: 
 
 
Watch > Watches.
Miss > Misses.
Mix > Mixes.
Buzz > Buzzes 
When the verb ends in -ch, -ss, -sh, -x or -zz, we add -es
 
Hurry > Huries.
Study > Studies.
Reply > Replies.
When the verb ends in a consonant + y we change y to I and
add -es
 
 
Pay > Pays.
Enjoy > Enjoys.
But when the verb ends in a vowel + -y we just add -s

Wear > Wears.
 
 
Some verbs are irregular
Have, go, do and be are irregular!
 
Have > Has.
Go > Goes.
Do > Does.
Be > Is/Are.

When the verb ends in -s or -z we double
the -s or -zz and add -es

These verbs are not so common!

UNIT 2
To talk about the past, we usually use the past simple. Thus it
talks about that something happened in the past and it doesn't
happen anymore.
 
I was in hometown yesterday.
She wasn't available last month.
We were swimming in lake before you went home.
The weren't doing anything.
