<p>Imagens CARTAZ</p><p>ANA BEATRIZ</p><p>Clima da Antártida (Temperatura)</p><p>Antártida é considerada o continente mais frio do planeta Terra.</p><p>Predomina o clima polar (tipo climático encontrado em regiões de alta latitude), caracterizado por registrar temperaturas baixas durante todo o ano, ventos fortes e gelados e umidade do ar desértica.</p><p>Os animais possuem características que permitiram sua adaptação ao frio, como pelo, quantidade de gordura e até penas que os ajudam a manter a temperatura dos seus corpos.</p><p>Devido o rigoroso inverno não permite que os seres humanos que saiam dos abrigos, pois lá fora encontrariam a morte por hipotermia (fenômeno que ocorre quando a temperatura do corpo fica muito baixa), pois não são equipados biologicamente para viver no frio antártico. Um indivíduo nu, sobreviveria por menos de vinte minutos, a zero grau: imagine então a -70°C.</p><p>Tradução para inglês</p><p>Antarctica climate (Temperature)</p><p>Antarctica is considered the coldest continent on planet Earth.</p><p>The polar climate (climatic type found in high latitude regions) predominates, characterized by low temperatures throughout the year, strong and freezing winds and desert air humidity.</p><p>Animals have characteristics that allowed them to adapt to the cold, such as fur, amount of fat and even feathers that help them maintain their body temperature.</p><p>Due to the harsh winter, humans are not allowed to leave their shelters, as outside they would find death from hypothermia (a phenomenon that occurs when the body temperature becomes too low), as they are not biologically equipped to live in the Antarctic cold. A naked individual would survive for less than twenty minutes at zero degrees: imagine at -70°C.</p><p>BEATRIZ</p><p>Fauna da Antártida</p><p>Os animais que vivem na Antártida são principalmente aquáticos. Também encontramos alguns vertebrados marinhos e cetáceos.</p><p>Exemplos: Pinguim imperador, leopardo marinho, foca, baleia, orcas, elefantes marinho, aves e outros crustáceos</p><p>Milhões de animais vivem nessa região, no extremo sul do planeta, e não estão nem aí com o frio de rachar — são menos de 80 ºC negativos no inverno!</p><p>Além disso, boa parte das espécies, principalmente aves e mamíferos marinhos, não passa o ano todo no continente.</p><p>Durante o inverno, quando a região congela, muitos animais migram para o norte e só voltam no final da estação. “Eles não deixam a Antártida por causa do frio em si, mas devido ao congelamento da superfície da água, que impede a busca de comida, já que a maior parte vem do mar.</p><p>Tradução para inglês</p><p>Antarctic fauna</p><p>The animals that live in Antarctica are mainly aquatic.
