e) Writing activity: use your imagination to create a new story:
Tom and Huck have a new adventure. Where do they go? Who do they go with? What things do they do? Are they afraid? How many days are they away from home? How do they get home?
They had a new adventure, playing around, they found a map that would lead to a pirate ship. Tom told Huck to be afraid of pirates. Huck then tries to convince Tom not to be afraid. Huck and Tom take the time to understand the commands on the map. Huck says: is this pointing north? Tom takes the map to try to understand and says: I think so.
Then, they go north counting each step because to get to the ship they would need to take 300 steps north followed by a few steps east and then head towards the sea where the ship is. Following the map, they found the ship, Huck saw it first and said: Tom, come on!
Tom, even scared, went to the ship. They hoped to find pirates, but found only more maps, boxes with old coins, flags and mice living there. Huck then says to Tom: we are going to spend the night on the boat and tomorrow we are going home. Tom then agreed because his fear of pirates was gone. They spent the night awake on the boat discovering all the new objects they found.
