Phrasal Verbs Exercises Phrasal Verbs são a junção de um verbo base e outra palavra (seja ela uma preposição ou advérbio), que o transforma completamente em um novo verbo com significado totalmente diferente. É importante que não se tente traduzir cada pedaço desse novo verbo, pois na maioria das vezes o mesmo não fará sentido. São exemplos de PHRASAL VERBS: Run into Put up with Look forward to Stand for Work out Pull over Show off Relacione a primeira coluna de acordo com a segunda. 1. Stand for 2. Show off 3. Pull over 4. Run into 5. Work out 6. Look forward to 7. Put up with (4) Hit something by accident while driving, to meet someone you know when you’re not expecting. (7) To tolerate something you didn’t want to. (6) To feel excited about something that is going to happen. (1) To believe, advocate and support. (5) To exercise, to solve a problem. (3) To move the car to the side of the road and stop. (2) To behave in a way that is intended to attract attention.
