Many people also call it</p><p>the Day of the Witches. It's a day full of fun, where</p><p>kids dress up in scary costumes like witches, ghosts,</p><p>vampires, and skeletons. Adults join in too, wearing</p><p>eerie outfits and decorating their homes with</p><p>pumpkins.</p><p>One of the coolest things about Halloween is the</p><p>tradition of "trick-or-treat." Children go out at night</p><p>with empty bags and knock on doors, asking for</p><p>candy. When someone opens the door, they say</p><p>"trick-or-treat" and, in return, they get delicious treats.</p><p>It's a fun way to fill up your candy bag.</p><p>A very common Halloween decoration is the "jack-o'-</p><p>lantern," which is a pumpkin carved with a spooky</p><p>face and a lit candle inside. Jack-o'-lanterns are</p><p>placed in windows and on porches to ward off evil</p><p>spirits.</p><p>Furthermore, Halloween parties are filled with</p><p>exciting games, like bobbing for apples, where you</p><p>try to catch apples with your teeth, and apple</p><p>bobbing, where you attempt to catch floating apples</p><p>with your hands tied behind your back.</p><p>At night, many people tell scary ghost stories and</p><p>watch horror movies. It's a chilling tradition but also a</p><p>lot of fun.</p><p>So, on Halloween, put on your scariest costume, grab</p><p>your candy bag, and have a blast going door-to-door</p><p>for "trick-or-treat." And remember to always be safe</p><p>and not scare anyone too much! Halloween is a night</p><p>of fun and frights, but also one of respect and good</p><p>laughs.
