Read the included document ‘’Install Recommended Settings.pdf’’ for help to the install. Performance Optimization This product has been optimized for good performance. However, the aircraft uses several high definition liveries (4096 px) for a high graphical quality and complex custom programming for the avionics. We recommend at least 4 GB of VRAM. In case of low FPS, you can reduce graphic options in the main program (esp. switching off HDR, reducing anti aliasing, lowering the drawing distance etc.) If you use AI planes, select only simple aircraft without 3D cockpit and without plug-ins. Custom Commands The Eclipse 550 NG features complex avionics. To make operation of the avionics easier for various kinds of hardware setups, we have a lot of custom commands which you can assign to buttons or keyboard. Some available custom commands are shown on the right; more are available. Please refer to the X-Plane manual for information on how to setup buttons and keys in X-Plane and how to assign custom commands to them. 3 FLY THE AIRCRAFT WITH X-PLANE 11 The Eclipse NG requires GNS430 datas from Navigraph or Aerosoft to be installed into X-Plane 11 ‘Custom data’ folder. Read the F.A.Q for more information page 17. PART I FEATURES 5 SPECIFICATIONS Source : http://www.oneaviation.aero/eclipse/specifications.php DYNON SKYVIEW GARMIN GTN750 / 650 The new Eclipse 550 NG is equipped with a detailed simulation of the Dynon SkyView and Garmin GTN750/650. The SkyView and GTN have been developed from scratch. Lionel Zamouth utilized the SASL plugin for achieving an unmatched degree of functional detail and readability. The two Skyview displays on the panel are fully configurable to be used as Primary Flight Display (PFD) or Navigation Display (ND). The virtual screen resolution is the same as in the real SkyView, so the displays are very readable even in the 3D cockpit. However, by clicking on the aircraft icon (or border frame for GTN), you can also show them as popup windows which enhances readability even more. For details on the SkyView and GTN, please refer to the separate SkyView & GTN manuals. 6 POPUP VIEWS Ensuring good readability of virtual displays one a desktop simulator is not an easy challenge and strongly depends on your viewpoint. The higher the simulated display resolution (in case of the SkyView 1024 x 600 pixels), the more condensed the 3D view gets when you don't change your viewpoint. Actually this works as in reality, where readability of a certain resolution also changes with display size and viewpoint. Therefore, the Eclipse 550 NG offers you to optionally show the SkyView displays and the Garmin 750/650 as popup windows. For the Skyview, just click on or around the aircraft silhouette both on the HSI and the MAP to make the popup appear. For the GTN, click on the border frame. You can move and resize the popups using your mouse and close them using the small “x” icon on their upper right corner. FULL MOUSE SCROLL WHEEL SUPPORT This product features full mouse scroll wheel support for all EFIS. Any values on the Skyview and GTNs are editable by scrolling the mouse wheel. For example, it’s easy to change the map scale or the charts scale : put the mouse cursor on the map and scroll the mouse wheel. Try with the BARO value, the HDG value, the ALT value, the CRS value, etc… Enjoy ! Note :Touch screen operation is also possible with the Skyviews. See the dedicated manual for more information. 7 Put the mouse cursor on any value and scroll to change it ! WEATHER EFFECTS & EQUIPMENT Of course, like other recent Aerobask products, the Eclipse 550 NG features rain and fog. You will notice that rain slowly fades away with increased airspeed and intensity. BLEED AIR After start the engines, enable the Air Source switch in NORM position. During the flight, check the DELTA P and RATE/ALT indicators. DELTA P maximum is 7.8. OXYGEN This panel is functionnal but currently, oxygen and mask are currently not simulated. 8 Air conditioning switches PART II INSTRUCTIONS 10 VIP TOUCHSCREEN CONTROLLER The VIP CONTROLLER can be used in popup, or directly in the 3D cabin, via the tablet to the copilot seat. SAVED DATA A lot of values are saved during and at the end of your flight. Here is a no limited list : ➔ Fuel quantity (Left & Right tank) ➔ Fuel Selector position ➔ Passengers & luggages ➔ Reflexions (EFIS & windshield) ➔ Transponder code ➔ Baro : HPA or INHG ➔ TCAS option ➔ WRX option 16 Consequently, check your fuel tanks before starting a new flight ! HOW TO How to install the GNS430 data in X-Plane 11? Our FMS requires XP10 GNS430 data which is not shipped with XP11 anymore. From now you need to get it by yourself. ➔ If you have updated data from Navigraph or Aerosoft, you lastest AIRAC should be located into Custom data/GNS430 and should be copied at same location in XP11. ➔ if you do not have paid updates, you can use the provided default data GNS430. Copy it to the Custom data folder into XP11. Do this only if you don't have updated data. In both cases it is best to copy the data to Custom data so there is no ambiguity about the origin (meaning it is not part of the default install). The folder structure must anyway remain the same. 17 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How to Start the engines ? First, remove the flags and chokes. Power the avionics and connect the GPU to save the battery. Check the throttle position (IDLE). Then, click and drag the left engine switch start to the ‘CONT IGN’ position. That’s all. The start sequence begins automatically. Check the engine instruments. Then, you start the right engine. The plane is shaking on the ground! What can I do? Open X-Plane's “Operations and warning” settings and increase the number of models per frame to 3 or 4. Also, make sure that your FPS is at least 20. If needed, reduce your X-Plane rendering settings. When engaging the autopilot, the plane constantly banks from left to right or up/down! Check your joystick setting. Trims should not be assigned to an axis. Assign the trim to keys or to your joystick thumb hat, not to an axis. Reset the rudder trim to center, to avoid left/right banking. Make sure that the autopilot is engaged under normal flight conditions. For example, if your IAS is too high or too low, or if you are trying to fly too high, X-Plane's autopilot will have problems to follow your commands.
