Reading - New York City Taxi Drivers Most taxi drivers in New York are from other cities and countries and they don't know their way around the city. Sometimes they don't know the names of the streets. Suleiman Kafifi works for the New York Cab Company. He's a terrible driver because he doesn't know the city well. But he's very nice and friendly and he always talks with his passengers. Sometimes he tells them amusing stories about his experiences as a taxi driver. Suleiman takes good care of his car, it's always clean. He usually has magazines, guides and maps because many of his passengers are from out of town. He's so nice and pleasant that people often give him good tips, even when he gets lost and takes them to a wrong address. A trip with Suleiman can take much longer than expected! 18
