did notjdidn't
Observe o exemplo:
I bought a skateboard. (Eu comprei um skate.)
+ verbo na forma básica
I did not buy a skateboard. (Eu não comprei um skate.)
Para se obter a forma negativa, com verbos regulares e irregulares, usamos
do not/don't ou does not/doesn't para o presente e did not/didn't para o passado.
Devemos, porém, ter o cuidado de deixar o verbo principal na sua forma básica.
(Obtém-se a forma básica suprimindo a partícula to do infinitivo.
Exemplo: to find: encontrar/forma básica: find.

FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
We need to prevent tires. It is
our duty.
But how can we prevent tires?
Here are some good advices:
• Tum off the stove when you leave
the house.
• Keep lighters and matches away
from children.
• Keep alcohol and other fuels away
from the stove.
• Don't leave wires uncovered.

Arbor Day (Tree Planting Day)
The Arbor Day was first
celebrated in the state of
Nebraska, USA, in 1872.
The idea of setting one day
apart for planting trees
began with Mr Sterling
Morton. More than a million
trees were planted in
Nebraska the first year.
Today the Arbor Day is
commemorated all over the
world on different dates,
mainly in schools, with
conversations about forests,
soils, wildlife parks and
ecreation areas.

AUTO SAFETY - FASTEN SEAT BELT
Every year accidents injure or kill
thousands of people.
Most accidents and fatalities are the
result of careless driving.
Speed is dangerous, but slowdrivers
also are a risk.
They cause traffic jams and irritate the
drivers behind them.
Accidents are also caused by drivers
that do not pay attention to the signals
and traffic lights and do not respect the
rules and laws of traffic.
Alcohol does not combine with the
responsibility of driving.
The seat belt is a very important safety
component in a car.
Children must travel on the back seats
and use seat belt, too.
