this prompting guide…
First of all, if you don’t know who I am, my name is Darius Lukas.
I’m a serial entrepreneur, writer, mentor, and samurai-in-training.
I’ve lived in 20+ countries, worked as a copywriter for multi-million dollar

professional, persuasive, or friendly email drafts, tailored to specific prompts

It can help you save time and effort in composing effective

You can explain to ChatGPT the persona (e.g. a startup owner) and the tone
of the email (e.g. informal, enthusiastic).
Prompt:
Using the [adjective] tone of a [job title or persona], write
me a short email about [describe the email]. Make it [adjective

Example:
Using the friendly tone of a startup owner, write me a short
email congratulating Paula, my employee, on reaching her KPI:

Example:
You are an excellent teacher and you are trying to explain

4. Structuring data
With its ability to structure data, ChatGPT can help organize and present
information in a coherent manner, whether it's through creating tables,
graphs, or outlining data-driven reports, making it easier for users to
analyze and comprehend large amounts of data efficiently.

Create a table of [number] ideas for [platform] [content type]
that highlight the benefits of [topic]. Be creative. The first
column is the [description], the second column is the
[description], the third column is the [description], and the
fourth column is the [description].
Example:
Create a table of 20 ideas for viral TikTok videos that
highlight the benefits of colourful shoe strings. Be creative.
First column is the name of the idea, second column is the
explanation, third column consists of potential hashtags and
the fourth column is a mark, from 1 to 10 on how viral that
video has the potential to be.

5. Coding assistance
ChatGPT can provide coding assistance by offering guidance, suggesting
solutions, and helping with code-related queries, making it a useful
resource for developers and learners seeking coding support and insights.
It is also helpful to correct any errors in your coding.

However, when presented with a different prompt like "Look back",
it is capable of providing an alternative response that is accurate.

3. Parameters (temperature, diversity_penalty, best_of)
Below are some parameters for fine-tuning ChatGPT’s responses. We are
going to discuss 3 of the parameters.

a) temperature
Typically ranging from 0 to 1. It affects the randomness of the
model’s output. A higher value results in more diverse outputs. A
lower value makes the output more deterministic and focused.
● Low temperature (0-0.3): focused, consistent, conservative
outputs.

● Medium temperature (0.3-0.7): balanced creativity and
coherence/consistency.
● High temperature (0.7-1): highly creative and diverse, maybe
less coherent.
For example, when editing books, it is often preferable to set a low
temperature in order to maintain consistency rather than excessive
creativity in the writing style and content.
b) diversity_penalty
Typically ranging from 0 to 2. It encourages the model to produce a
diverse set of responses by penalizing repeated tokens.
● low diversity penalty (0): no penalty applied, might have
repetitive phrases.
● medium diversity penalty (1): balance between diversity and
coherence.
● high diversity penalty (2): maximum diversity, might affect
coherence. It will try to invent new ways of thinking.
For example, when using ChatGPT to reformat large text for articles
and books, it is often necessary to reduce the occurrence of
repetitive phrases.
c) best_of
The range can include any positive number. It instructs the model to
generate a specified number of responses and return the best one
according to its internal scoring. By iterating and connecting data,
the aim is to produce acceptable or optimal cases of data that align
with user expectations.
