Basic English
Durante minha juventude tive a oportunidade de aprender 
o Idioma Inglês, a principio meu intuito era conseguir melhores 
oportunidades no ramo profissional, mas durante meu processo 
de aprendizado vi que o Inglês nos abre a mente para um mundo 
desconhecido, um mundo de informação, um mundo de expansão 
em comunicação, um mundo mais divertido e um mundo com 
maiores possibilidades.
Vendo tudo isso acontecendo em minha vida, tive como 
principal intuito trazer esse “novo mundo” para todas as pessoas 
em minha volta. Depois de muito estudo, pesquisas e experimentos, 
criei a Aliança América –Idiomas.
Muitas pessoas colocam o aprendizado do idioma Inglês como 
uma coisa muito difícil, inalcançável, a Aliança América foi criada para 
mostrar que essa barreira ê possível ser quebrada, que ê possível 
aprender inglês de uma forma divertida e pratica. Com criamos os 
nossos 3 livros de ensino, English For Life, English Conversation e 
English Pro.
O caminho para se tornar fluente pode parecer desafiador, 
mas não se preocupe, nós da Aliança América já traçamos ele 
para você.
Gosto muito de um filme que tem como mensagem principal o lema 
“Qualquer um pode cozinhar”, eu digo a você agora: Qualquer um 
pode aprender inglês.

Introdução
"O “English For Life - Basic English” é o primeiro de uma coleção de 3 livros que retratam todo o
conteúdo da língua inglesa, desde o básico até as partes mais complicadas da gramática do inglês.
Diferentemente dos milhares de outros cursos e livros que se encontram hoje, os livros Aliança América
têm como intuito ensinar o inglês como uma coisa fácil e rápida de se aprender, e que o ensino do
idioma depende muito mais de como se aprende, do que de quem está aprendendo. A Aliança América
e todos seus colaboradores acreditam que qualquer um pode aprender inglês — seja uma pequena
criança, ou os mais idosos, todos devem ter a oportunidade de aprender o idioma mais importante do
mundo. As aulas ministradas pelos professores da Aliança América contêm alguns passos que serão
introduzidos para o aluno ao seu decorrer. Essas são aulas construídas com um grande trabalho de
centenas de grandes profissionais e com demoradas pesquisas. O livro é dividido em unidades: cada
unidade contém 3 aulas e uma revisão, que é um pequeno teste para avaliar o seu conhecimento para
prosseguir para as próximas aulas. A cada 4 unidades é feito então o “Quarter Test”, no qual o aluno é
avaliado em relação as 4 unidades de estudo anteriores. Por fim, ao final se encontra o “Final Test”, que
é a avaliação final das 16 unidades do livro. Acreditamos em você e em seu potencial, sabemos que um

James’ Time
There was once a boy named James. James was a very good soccer player at school, he
wanted to be a professional, but he didn’t like to practice very much, so when he was 18
years old, he had the chance to go to a try-out for a very good soccer team, and as I said
he didn’t practice at all, so he failed.
James came back home that day and realized how much time he had lost, but he
decided to do something different for his life at that point, he practiced a lot, he did
what he should’ve done during his school time.
Then, after 2 years of hard work and a lot of practice, James tried again to join that
amazing soccer team he once wanted to play for, and he finally had success.
James learned how time is precious and how it can be wasted if we don’t do what we

On my first week living alone away from my parents or any other relative, I was very happy to be 
able to have more freedom and privacy in my own home, the best part of this new experience was 
not having a specific time to get home. However, something weird happened last Saturday, after
midnight, I was leaving a karaoke with my new college friends, and I was walking home because I 
live downtown so everything is close to my house, but when I was about two blocks from my 
house, I felt that someone was following me, so I stopped walking and waited for the person to go

A frightening moment
Yesterday it was sunny and hot. We were playing soccer at school and my brother Josh was watching us. We won the 
game and right after we went to a snack bar to claim our bet. The waiter who lost the bet gave us plenty of food and 
drinks. We were having a lot of fun and eating a lot of delicious rolls stuffed with ground meat.
After eating and drinking all we got, we decided to go home, took a shower and headed to the mall. The whole team

Getting a job outside my country is a new and challenging experience for me because there are 
so many doubts that get in my head about how things work here, but finally, I got it. I’m working in 
a restaurant as a waiter, I don’t have a car yet, so I’ve got to walk for 40 minutes to get to work at 
9:00 am, the restaurant opens at 10:00 am, I get the customer’s orders and serve them when it’s

When I went to the au pair agency, I had no idea about a nanny’s routine. In fact, my experience was
